And the update is...

So, I decided that I had to go hard core for a while and make my numbers change. The good news is that is has worked! I am down nearly 20 lbs from where I was stuck. I will say 19 lbs officially at this point. That is pretty scary for me. I am starting to be able to go into a whole new category in life. In fact, I have already taken myself from morbidly obese to just obese. That sounds insane, but hey, being just fat instead the kind of fat that will kill you is great!

I have hit at least 2 major goals in my journey, and I am very proud of my progress.

I think next week of so I will start posting some pics of my journey. It might be nice to share. I am still far from where I want to be, and will continue to have to work hard, but I can do that.

Sooo.........

So, I'm still here, and still fat.  It's a fact.  I've gained a lost probably 100 pounds or so since we last spoke.  Why, because that's what we do.  It is.  I wish is wasn't. So, where I'm at today: fat.  Really fat.  I was about 20 pounds from my highest weight when I went to the Dr for my checkup the other day.  Soooooo not good.  So, we had a little chat, led by me because my Dr is awesome and won't push anything on anyone who isn't ready.  I told her I was seriously considering Gastric Sleeve.  I've looked into it.  I've hounded my insurance to cover it, and they do now.  My Dr and I discussed it a little.  One of the steps to being approved for any gastric surgery is having discussed your weight with your primary care physician.  She wanted to try something before we got to that next step.  There is a new drug on the market called Contrave.  Its all the rave.  (Had to.  I'm not sorry.) ...

The Wagon

You see that wagon over there? Well that would be the wagon I fell off. It was a long hard fall, and it hurt. No. I suppose the fall itself felt pretty good. It meant I got to eat crap. It was the landing when I weighed this morning that hurt. So, I'm climbing back on the morning. I have a lot of ground to make up for that fall. Ick. Sometimes it is worth it, though.

New Weight

I weighed this morning, and the scale says that I am down 3 pounds!! Yeah me, again! = ) I am thrilled with 3 a week. That is a good rate to lose, and do it in a healthy way. So, I am thrilled.
